ISE 2026 Event Highlights: Drotek in Barcelona

ISE 2026 in Barcelona welcomed thousands of tech professionals, and Drotek was at the heart of the action.

Visitors from the AV and drone industry joined us to explore immersive experiences, discover our latest drone show solution, and connect with our team to share their ideas and challenges.

From the moment you stepped into our dynamic booth, this trade show was more than just a showcase. It was a hub for collaboration, inspiration, and new concepts.

Over the four days, industry professionals, designers, and engineers exchanged insights and software demonstrations, networked, and discovered how Drotek’s ecosystem can transform events into something truly special.

Drotek highlights and booth activities

Hands-on with the Technology

Visitors coming to ISE 2026 had the opportunity to get an actual impression of Drotek’s latest drone show technology.

At our booth, professionals from the industry and all over the world took our IO Star 3 illuminated drone in hand, often surprised by its lightness and design. For many, it was the first time seeing a complete drone show ecosystem gathered in one place.

The whole Drotek ecosystem for drone show was present in front of everyone: Ground Control Station Pack (with embedded computer and operational software), the all-in-one transport cases, the battery charging station, and the Lightshow Creator Blender plugin used for design.

Many visitors were particularly interested in the reliability and ease of deployment, the practical details that help teams deliver a show on time. Holding the drone in hand often sparked practical questions: flight autonomy, battery management, setup time, etc.

Innovative Solutions on Display

What made the Drotek setup at ISE feel different was how quickly visitors could translate it into operational reality, not just a nice display.

Starting with the IO Star 3 drone, the numbers immediately speak to show professionals: up to 30 minutes of show time, a removable battery, and a system crafted for field conditions.

With BMS monitoring, thermal protection, and hot swap during show performance, the solution is built for continuity, helping crews deliver a smooth show performance.

Wind resistance up to 10m/s, waterproofing with an integrated float, and millimetric precision help teams deploy with confidence and build repeatable processes for future projects.

Logistics was another concrete highlight on the booth. The transport cases are meant for real constraints: a European standard format (120×80 cm), stackable, and designed for dense storage. For teams working against the clock, that translates into faster handling, faster setup, and less manpower pressure.

Several visitors reacted to the operational side: around 30-45 minutes for installation, and the fact that one person can dismantle 350 drones is the kind of detail that instantly makes sense to an event crew.

On the software side, the value wasn’t positioned as “yet another tool”, but as a workflow that creatives and operators can actually share. With Lightshow Creator integrated into Blender, professionals could picture a smooth link between design and execution.

A 49-Drone Wall That Turned Heads

One of the first things visitors noticed on Drotek booth, day after day, was a wall of 49 IO Star 3 drones, mounted vertically and running a live color sequence, developed in-house.

The drone wall looked like a dynamic light experience visitors could enjoy.

This setup quickly became a conversation starter for two reasons. First, it’s a very simple proof of how lightweight the IO Star 3 is: being able to mount drones on a wall opens creative possibilities in spaces where other heavier drones wouldn’t even be considered. And the RGBW colors are real and vibrant, and the transitions feel smooth.

To make it even more interactive, the Drotek team built a small surprise: a Snake game, playable on the drone wall using a controller. It brought a lot of smiles, and it also did something useful: it showed how a drone show system can become an interactive display, not just a performance tool.

Business & Industry Insights

Turning Ideas into Deployable Projects

If you are designing a drone show project, you know the challenge isn’t coming up with the idea. The real job starts when that thought has to fit a venue, a schedule, and a team, with clear steps from creative design to on-site delivery.

At the ISE, we saw the same pattern across many conversations: professionals want solutions that make planning easier and execution simpler. That means being able to define constraints early, having a trusted partner capable of delivering quickly, and providing deployable drone show equipment quickly and easily. A point of honor is made on the operational part.

When timing is tight, the difference is often in the details: how fast a crew can set up, how equipment is transported and accessed, and how smoothly responsibilities can be shared between designer and operator.

This is where Drotek makes sense. From our years of experience and exchanges with actors of the industry, we took the time to understand their real challenges and to be able to respond to them as effectively as possible.

If you stopped by our booth at ISE 2026, let’s keep the conversation moving!

The best next step is often the simplest one: reconnect with us so we can connect and turn your ideas into a clear, deployable plan together, in close collaboration.

Depending on where you are in your project, that can mean scheduling a deeper technical call or coming to our facilities to experience the full solution in a real working environment.

Come and do your training now!

And if you didn’t get the chance to meet us in Barcelona, it’s not too late. Whether you’re exploring a first drone show project or scaling an existing setup, we’re happy to talk through your constraints and suggest the right path for your future projects. You can reach out now to connect with our team and start the conversation.

Finally, if you prefer meeting in person, we’ll have more opportunities ahead, network, and discuss your project in person. You can meet Drotek at LDI 2026 in Las Vegas, and we’re already looking forward to ISE 2027. If you’d like to plan a meeting at one of these events, just let us know, and we’ll make sure to be available to discuss your project.
