What can you do with SMARTNAV RTK and a 3D printer?

We wanted to test how far we could use SMARTNAV’s accuracy down to. So basically what we did was to mount its antenna on the top of the extruder of a 3D printer. We then programmed it to print Drotek’s logo ona few layers. Remember that the size of the hot plate is 20x20cm, so approximately 5 to 50 less than the standard precision of a GPS receiver.
