In the ever-evolving world of technology and entertainment, the collaboration between two French companies, Diffuse, a leading events company, and ours, Drotek, a leader in the manufacturing of light drones, is shaping up to be a significant step for the future.
This alliance goes beyond a mere business partnership; it is built on deep mutual trust and a shared commitment to move forward and create magic.
At the core of this collaboration is an exceptional connection and palpable synergy between our teams.
This natural affinity is fueled by a shared passion for innovation and a desire to push the boundaries of what is possible.
This partnership is a joint adventure where our technological expertise harmoniously merges with Diffuse's creativity to create extraordinary visual experiences.
Diffuse is an events company based south of Strasbourg, renowned for its expertise in creating memorable shows.
Since its launch in 2022, it has stood out for its creativity, precision, and dedication to innovation.
The Alsace-based company has received several accolades at the prestigious "International Drone Show Competition."
They strive to create tailor-made immersive experiences that captivate and inspire.
Their commitment to creativity, attention to detail, and the desire to evoke emotions are palpable in every project they undertake.
Diffuse is more than an events company; it is a source of inspiration that transforms dreams into reality.
Located near Toulouse, we have a long history as a key player in the field of light drones.
Since our founding in 2012, our company has earned a prominent place as a leader in the design and manufacturing of light drones.
Our pride lies in the "Made In France" label, as each drone is meticulously designed and assembled in our own facilities.
The advanced technology we have developed allows us to offer drones with centimeter precision to create breathtaking spectacles.
Our journey is marked by strong expertise, forged through our ability to unite different technologies to bring unforgettable magical moments to life.
This partnership promises to offer new opportunities and possibilities.
By combining our cutting-edge light drone technology with Diffuse's artistic vision, we aim to push the limits of imagination.
We are committed to working closely, merging our respective expertise to develop customized solutions that meet the specific needs of each show.
This alliance promises to give rise to stunning visual experiences while opening new opportunities for the light drone show industry.
'How did this idea come about?' is undoubtedly the question on everyone's mind, so let's go back to the beginnings of the project.
We wanted to create a video to promote our drones and expertise, showcasing the behind-the-scenes production and all aspects of our company, as everything is entirely done in-house.
Since artistic expression is not our expertise, we decided to collaborate with a company with the necessary skills to create a unique show with a substantial fleet, working closely to deliver something exceptional and different.
Our connection with Léo and Vincent, their unique artistic vision, and our shared desire to create something unprecedented naturally led us to them.
Our Alsace collaborators have always been a driving force for Drotek, especially with our Blender add-on, the Light Show Creator (for both improvements to existing features and future needs); Vincent challenged us a lot in this regard, and we are very grateful!
In our initial discussions, they were very open, attentive, and especially proactive about the project!
We completely trusted their vision and artistic talent!
Our two companies agreed on the number of drones, combining our respective fleets to reach a total of 400 drones, to create an immersive, rich, and coherent art experience in line with our vision.
During our second meeting, the artistic aspect was discussed to propose something new, and that's exactly what Diffuse did by coming up with the idea of reproducing Van Gogh's 'Starry Night' on a large scale!
For our collaborators, the light drone show is not just a succession of figures. It is a unique artistic expression, an opportunity to bring masterpieces to life majestically.
Imagine revisiting a Van Gogh work on a sky-sized canvas!
With this fleet of 400 drones, we make this experience possible, with a canvas 177 times larger than the original!
It's an artistic feat that has never been achieved before.
This show, orchestrated and designed by Diffuse, transcends the emotions Van Gogh sought to express.
As Van Gogh said, 'The night is much more alive and richly colored than the day.' It carries a spiritual message, a message of hope and love, a celebration of life.
Here, the sky is used to talk about the starry sky. In this sky, the light drones break the darkness of the night, symbolizing the perpetual movement of souls that together form the essence of life.
The cypress represents death, an inevitable stage of existence, while the nebulae embody the birth of a star.
This giant canvas invites the audience to reflect on various perspectives and interpretations; eliciting emotions and awakening consciousness are the key elements.
Technically, the show lasts for 15 minutes, and the drones fly at a speed of 4 m/s.
Diffuse clearly sought to push the limits of our technology.
Thanks to their constructive feedback, we are constantly improving and eager to progress together, ensuring a fruitful collaboration.
The Alsace-based company emphasizes the term 'light drone show': making things come alive and be felt as if we were at the theater, opera, or cinema.
Each show is meticulously crafted with a beginning, middle, and end, creating an authentic connection with the audience.
The light drone show is not just a performance; it's a digital art in the sky, a new tool of artistic expression, and we are confident that we are only scratching the surface of its potential.
This ambitious project required a total of 203 hours of work over five months from the Alsace team.
We are proud of this achievement, but more importantly, we are excited about the limitless possibilities the future holds.
For the location of the show, Diffuse proposed it take place in Alsace, on their experimental ground.
The process of obtaining flight permits proved to be complex, requiring significant operational work to declare all drones, given the volume of the desired fleet and the involved aeronautical environment.
The project was planned over two weeks, allowing for flight tests and optimal organization.
The Alsace team also trained pilots and technicians to ensure the success of the show.
Diffuse enlisted local experts for video capture and photography, ensuring perfect synchronization.
This project was launched in April, with a flight scheduled for October, demonstrating its ambitious nature and our long-term collaborative work.
The partnership between Drotek and Diffuse represents an exciting convergence of cutting-edge technology and artistic creativity.
Together, our two French companies are poised to revolutionize the events industry by creating magical moments.
This collaboration is not just a partnership; it is a promise of innovation but also a sincere desire to create something new and spectacular together.
